How to Do a Speed Boost in NBA 2K21?

Before we get to how to pull off the speed boost, there are a couple of things you should know:

If you get your MyPlayer to an 86 or better rating in ball handling, you can pull off a speed boost, but you will need to pay attention to your character in their animation with the ball. For example, it will not work if you are instantly trying to sprint with the ball in any direction.

Some of these are great at creating space and can be a great assistance when paired up with a speed boost. 1). Speed Boost to Dribble Combos

There are many different dribble combos that you can do in NBA 2K21, which can be combined with the Speed Boost. While the basic speed boost is pretty easy to do in terms of controls, the chains require much better timing.

2). Step Back Speed Boost Combo

Ball in the Left Hand — Press R2/RT and Flick the Right Stick to the Right. When the right-hand touches the ball, flick the left stick to the left. When you make this move correctly, you should see a slow cross to the right and then a fast cross and speed boost out to the left.

Ball in Right Hand — Flick Right Stick up and right and flick right stick to the left. As soon as the left-hand touch the ball, you will flick the left stick to the right and press RT/R2.
